Kidz Klub

Kidz Klub is a collaborative after-school program between SOAR Fox Cities and area school districts targeting children in Elementary Schools. Piloted in the Neenah School District in 2007, Kidz Klub is now expanding throughout the Fox Cities. Kidz Klub is a social group for youth with and without disabilities which is held at a school within the district. Youth from other schools in the district can take advantage of the specialized transportation that will deliver them to the activity. Parents can then pick their child up from the school where Kidz Klub takes place, without having to leave work to transport them. At Kidz Klub, youth are involved in cooperative games and positive interaction with peers. Their social circle is expanded by their exposure to youth from throughout their community. Teen Stop is an expansion of Kidz Klub targeting students in Middle Schools.

Creative Play

Creative Play is the respite program for our 3-12 year old population. Creative Play offers children with developmental disabilities a fun, structured and educational opportunity. The children are invited to share a day with us while they learn and play in a safe environment. These respite days typically include a social song and introduction time, crafts, cooperative games, outdoor time, lunch, sensory activities and a group activity. Not only does this program provide the children with a day of fun with others their own age, but it gives their caregivers time knowing their children are in a safe atmosphere with trained staff.

TnT (Teens and Transitioning Youth) provides educational, social and recreational activities for youth ages 13-23 with and without disabilities in an integrated and interactive setting.  SOAR Fox Cities strives to provide an environment that facilitates and supports understanding and acceptance between these youth.  The positive interaction between the teens allows them to gain exposure, which leads to understanding, and results in acceptance for each person in the program.  All teen participants take part in large and small group activities, engage in cooperative learning experiences and have opportunities for leadership development.

TnT is a popular offering for young adults ages 13-23 with and without disabilities. TnT is a great way for individuals to interact with their peers in a supportive social setting. Meetings include students with and without disabilities from high schools throughout the Fox Cities singing, sharing and interacting with each other. Fun group games and encouraging activities all take place during the hour and half TnT meetings. Tnt fosters acceptance and appreciation for each youth who attends.
